About Mosaic

The story of Mosaic.tech began in 2012, when its founding team, Bijan Moallemi, Joseph Garafalo, and Brian Campbell, first crossed paths while building and leading the Finance team at Palantir. Tasked with supporting business decisions for a company experiencing hyper-growth, they quickly became frustrated with the limitations of existing financial tools – the slow speed, high complexity, and inherent inefficiencies. They envisioned a better way for finance teams to operate, one that wasn't bogged down by manual data entry and cumbersome spreadsheets. This firsthand experience of the pain points in financial operations, particularly the challenge of providing real-time, actionable insights in a rapidly scaling environment, planted the seeds for what would eventually become Mosaic.

After their time at Palantir, the co-founders each went on to serve as CFOs at other high-growth, venture-backed companies. This further solidified their understanding that the challenges they faced at Palantir were not unique; businesses of all sizes, especially those without Palantir's extensive resources, desperately needed more sophisticated and accessible financial planning and analysis tools. The realization that their internally-developed solutions at Palantir could address a ubiquitous need across companies was a critical turning point. In 2019, armed with this conviction and a shared vision, Bijan Moallemi, Joseph Garafalo, and Brian Campbell officially founded Mosaic.tech. Their mission was clear: to uproot traditional finance tools and replace them with a radically different approach. They set out to build the first Strategic Finance Platform, a system designed to act as a compass for business leaders, empowering them to make more profitable decisions by leveraging big data and machine learning for powerful predictive reporting. The name 'Mosaic' itself reflects this vision – just as individual tiles come together to form a beautiful, comprehensive image, Mosaic.tech integrates disparate data sources across a business to provide a holistic and insightful view of the company's financial landscape. Since its founding, Mosaic.tech has focused on transforming how businesses approach planning and performance management, offering elegant one-click integrations and real-time analytics to provide clarity and straightforward recommendations.
