Job Title: Head of Finance
Location: Remote
Work Shift: EST with a 9am–1pm overlap

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Head of Finance to lead our operational finance functions. This is a crucial role for someone with deep expertise in inventory accounting, ERP systems, and manufacturing workflows to drive efficiency and financial accuracy across our organization.
As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational finance activities, including inventory accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and cost accounting. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting while maintaining strong controls within the ERP system and supporting the financial health of our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, driving improvements in our financial processes and systems, particularly in the areas of ERP management and inventory accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the company’s ERP system (Odoo) to ensure accurate and efficient financial data management.
- Oversee inventory accounting processes, including accurate valuation, reconciliations, and reporting for manufactured goods.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing and reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, working closely with HR and operations.
- Lead month-end and year-end reconciliations for all financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage cost accounting activities to track and analyze production costs, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability.
- Partner with operations to ensure alignment between financial and manufacturing workflows, optimizing financial processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, respect, and proactive problem-solving.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Odoo, or NetSuite, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) to manage and streamline financial operations.
- Strong background in manufacturing finance and complex supply chain operations.
- Extensive experience in inventory accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and cost accounting.
- Demonstrated success in handling complex accounts payable scenarios.
- Solid experience with cash flow forecasting and management.
- Familiarity with U.S.-based companies and accounting/reporting standards is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
