We are the company behind the world's leading API platform. Our story began in 2012 as a side project when our CEO and co-founder, Abhinav Asthana, set out to create a tool that would simplify the often frustrating and complex API testing process. What started as a free app on the Chrome Web Store quickly gained unexpected traction, signaling a massive need within the developer community. Recognizing the potential, Abhinav recruited his former colleagues, Ankit Sobti and Abhijit Kane, to formally launch Postman, Inc. in 2014. From our origins in Bangalore, we have grown into a global, remote-first company with headquarters in San Francisco and offices in Bangalore and Tokyo, serving over 30 million developers and 500,000 organizations worldwide.
