The senior field service technician performs field installations of all equipment. The field service technician also repairs electrical, mechanical, and printing related problems at existing customer sites. Remote – within 60 miles of major airport
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installs Mark Andy equipment at customer sites.
- Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, and printing related problems in the field.
- Trains customers in the safe and efficient use of all equipment.
- Provides preventative maintenance on all equipment and makes maintenance recommendations to customers.
- Ensures proper documentation of all work, including service reports, expense reports, installation feedback forms, etc.
- Always represents Mark Andy professionally when meeting with customers.
- Ability to travel 100% of the time.
- Basic computer skills, including ability to use laptops for diagnostic purposes.
- Advanced ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
- Advanced knowledge of pneumatic diagrams; servo motors, drives and controls.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and print issues (related to printing equipment).
- Ability to work independently.
- High School Diploma and Trade School Degree or Electrical and Mechanical training preferred.
- Three years of electrical and mechanical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience servicing Mark Andy products and printing presses or equivalent printing industry experience.
- Flexo field experience strongly preferred.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and move about facilities. Work typically requires the use of PPE. Work is regularly performed on the production floor.
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
