In 2016, Joe Belsterling founded MajorClarity with a clear vision: to bridge the gap between what students learn in the classroom and what they need to succeed in their careers. Belsterling recognized that many students were graduating high school without a clear understanding of potential career paths or how their academic choices connected to future opportunities. He set out to build a platform that would help students explore careers through immersive test-drives, connect those experiences to academic planning, and ultimately make informed decisions about their postsecondary futures.

Today, MajorClarity serves thousands of K-12 school districts across the United States, providing a comprehensive career and college readiness platform for students in grades 6-12. The platform uniquely combines career exploration with academic planning tools, allowing students to backwards-map their educational journey from career outcomes they want to actual course selections. MajorClarity was acquired by Paper in 2023 and later became part of Edmentum, further expanding its reach and resources for serving schools nationwide. With over 6.5 million students having used the platform, MajorClarity continues to transform how schools approach college and career readiness, helping ensure that every student's education leads to a successful career outcome.
