About The Role
LifeMD is seeking a Payor Enrollment, Licensing, and Credentialing Specialist to join our Compliance Team. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day tasks of processing provider license applications, credentialing, and payor enrollment applications. This position works cross-functionally with many teams, including compliance, operations, clinical, and legal.
Responsibilities
- Manage the application process for commercial and government payor enrollment contracting on behalf of LifeMD clinicians and affiliated practice group entities
- Process new and renewal clinician licensure applications across 50 states, as well as monitoring and renewing active licensure across our nationwide practice
- Manage company relationships with consultants and vendors assisting with license applications and payer enrollment applications while taking ownership of the accountability of those parties to the overall process
- Research, interpret, and evaluate information relevant to provider licensure and continuing medical education in the United States
- Gather and compile information necessary to credential providers and ensure continued monitoring of such credentials
- Keep management informed of progress and escalate issues as needed related to license/DEA & CDS status
- Uphold all credentialing specific policies and procedures
- Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers
- Assist with other ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in payor enrollment contracting and credentialing, both for individual providers and provider practice groups with commercial and government payors
- 5 years of experience with licensure processing (both initial application submission & renewal submission to state medical boards)
- Familiarity with the programs and tools commonly utilized to facilitate licensing, credentialing and payor enrollment, including CAQH, Availity, and PECOS
- Experience with initial state licensure applications submission process for multi-state practice
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization
- Experience with electronic profile systems used to track provider licensure and certificates details
- Knowledge and comprehension of the credentialing process
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities/projects
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to meeting all deadlines and deliverables/goals
- Ability to research and analyze data independently
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
