About the Role:
Allara Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensing and Credentialing Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our healthcare providers meet and maintain the necessary qualifications, certifications, and licenses to deliver exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, a keen eye for detail, and excellent organizational skills. This role will be remote and report to the Head of Payer Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Licensing and credentialing oversight, including the management for licensing and credentialing services from external partners.
- Supporting physician onboarding process, collaborating with the recruitment team to ensure standardization of application
- Credential Verification: Conduct thorough verification of credentials for healthcare providers, including education, training, experience, and licensure.
- Credentialing and Recredentialing: Manage the credentialing and re-credentialing process for new and existing providers, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of provider credentials in our database. Provide ongoing record keeping and enrollment management for new payers and providers for our Revenue Cycle and Operations team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, internal teams, and external agencies to gather and verify credentialing information.
- Compliance: Ensure all credentialing processes adhere to organizational policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Reporting: Generate and submit timely reports regarding the status of credentialing activities.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the credentialing process in a timely fashion. Provide feedback on problem prevention for early intervention to ensure limited patient and revenue issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements in the credentialing system.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with Verifiable and CAQH
- 2+ years experience in provider credentialing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare and telemedicine regulations, including NCQA and JCAHO standards and privileging procedures & standards.
- Proficiency in credentialing software and databases
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
- Experience with NP collaborative & supervisory requirements and Registered Dietitians, a plus
- Experience working at a healthcare startup, a plus
