Position Overview
As a Web Designer, you will be the bridge between creative vision and technical execution. You will be responsible for designing websites from scratch and bringing those designs to life using Elementor on WordPress. This role demands a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of core design principles, including layout, typography, and color theory, to ensure every project is both beautiful and functional.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Web Design: Create visually stunning, modern website layouts from scratch using design tools and implementing them directly in WordPress.
- Elementor Mastery: Build, customize, and maintain high-quality websites using Elementor Pro, ensuring pixel-perfect execution of designs.
- Responsive Design: Ensure every site is fully optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop experiences.
- Visual Strategy: Apply a strong understanding of color theory, typography, and layout principles to create engaging user interfaces.
- Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Communication: Clearly present design concepts to clients and collaborate effectively with the internal team.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-haves)
- Design Tool Proficiency: High level of skill in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, or Sketch.
- WordPress Expertise: Proven experience navigating the WordPress CMS and the Elementor ecosystem.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing live websites built with Elementor that demonstrate a high standard of aesthetic design.
- Attention to Detail: An obsession with alignment, spacing, and visual consistency.
Preferred / "Nice to Have" Skills (The Developer Edge)
- While not required, candidates with these skills will be highly considered:
- Custom Coding: Ability to write or tweak HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to achieve functionality beyond standard Elementor widgets.
- Performance Tuning: Experience with website speed optimization (e.g., Asset CleanUp, WP Rocket, or image compression strategies).
- SEO Fundamentals: Knowledge of on-page SEO best practices and schema markup.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose plugin conflicts, server errors, or "broken" layouts at a code level.
- API Integrations: Experience connecting WordPress sites to third-party tools (CRMs, email marketing platforms, etc.).
