Responsibilities
- Act as the primary backup for Senior Payroll Administrator duties, including bi-weekly payroll processing, audits, tax reconciliation, and W-2 reporting.
- Conduct bi-weekly payroll analysis and reporting by department, FTEs, and hourly rates, providing insights and recommendations.
- Reconcile department-level payroll data with the general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Manage general ledger activities through month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis for assigned departments/accounts.
- Support annual external audits by preparing audit schedules, work papers, and reports in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned departments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to GAAP.
- Collaborate with department leaders to interpret financial results and address inquiries promptly.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and projects as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly expert-level skills in Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
