We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Capture Manager to join our team and lead the effort in winning federal government IT service contracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government contracting, particularly in the IT services sector, and a proven track record of successfully capturing and winning competitive bids.
Responsibilties
- Capture Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive capture strategies for federal government IT service contracts, including identifying key stakeholders, understanding customer requirements, and positioning our company for success.
- Proposal Management: Lead the development of high-quality proposals, working closely with cross-functional teams including business development, technical experts, and finance to ensure alignment with customer needs and requirements.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough competitive analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to upcoming opportunities, and use this information to inform capture strategies.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, industry partners, and subcontractors to enhance our competitive position and maximize teaming opportunities.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the capture process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Proposal Evaluation: Participate in proposal evaluations and debriefings to gather feedback and continuously improve our capture and proposal management processes.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date capture documentation, including opportunity tracking, pipeline reporting, and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in capture management, with a focus on federal government IT service contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of the federal procurement process, including FAR and DFAR regulations.
- Proven track record of successfully capturing and winning competitive bids, with a strong portfolio of past performance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant proposals on time and within budget.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearances as needed.
