We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Web Technical Operations Specialist who can keep our websites secure, fast, stable, and running smoothly every day.
This role supports our marketing, content, and product teams by ensuring our digital platforms are reliable and optimized and by executing consistent operational tasks that keep the business running.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, process-driven work, and structured daily routines.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
💪 Daily Technical Operations
- Perform daily website security and uptime checks
- Monitor performance, load speed, and core web vitals
- Manage caching, CDN tools, backups, and updates
- Run QA checks on new pages, funnels, and releases
⚒️ Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and fix WordPress issues (plugins, themes, scripts)
- Liaise with plugin/theme developers to resolve bugs
- Maintain plugin inventory, update schedules, and version control
- Support the team with technical tasks and incident resolution
📈 Optimization & Analytics
- Assist with technical SEO tasks
- Support GA4 and tracking integrity
- Improve site speed, caching, and indexing
- Run regular audits to maintain code and content integrity
🚀 Monthly and recurring operational tasks
- Publishing blog posts
- Creating sales pages
- Magazine publishing
- Creating pages and publishing content for Summit sessions
🏁 Cross-Team Support
- Ensure landing pages, funnels, and campaigns work flawlessly
- Support marketing and content teams with technical implementation
- Provide detailed QA checks before campaigns go live
⏰ Working hours: This is a full-time role working from 8:00 to 17:00 UK time, with flexibility for troubleshooting during big events and working with software vendors.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you need to have:
✅ 3+ years of webmaster or technical web operations experience
✅ Experience with daily website updates, security and compliance checks
✅ Ability to liaise with software vendors to resolve bugs and technical issues
✅ Understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript or equivalent programming language, with an interest in learning more
✅ Basic knowledge of GA4 or similar analytics platforms
✅ Knowledge of web security tools (e.g., Sucuri, Wordfence, or other WAF solutions)
✅ Ability to conduct quality assurance for website updates, landing pages, funnels, and campaigns
✅ Good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
✅ A computer science degree or other relevant technical certification is a strong plus
✅ Comfortable using time-tracking and project-management tools
Brownie points for:
✨ Basic video editing (trimming, merging, exporting audio)
✨ Knowledge of caching/CDN tools (Cloudflare, NitroPack)
✨ Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., ActiveCampaign)
✨ Basic understanding of JSON/APIs
✨ Understanding of WordPress core, plugins, and troubleshooting
✨ Good knowledge of technical SEO
