This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the investment services function for a growing national financial organization. The Head of Financial Planning/Investments will be responsible for developing and executing wealth management strategies, driving revenue growth, and delivering tailored financial solutions to members. This role combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and client engagement, ensuring regulatory compliance and the highest quality of service. The position also involves mentoring and managing a high-performing sales team, collaborating across functions, and fostering strong relationships with strategic partners. Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute the organization’s wealth management strategy, providing holistic financial plans and investment advice aligned with members’ goals.
- Drive growth by expanding the member base through tailored financial solutions and portfolio management.
- Serve as the primary liaison with broker-dealer partners, ensuring compliance and effective execution of contractual obligations.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of investment programs, including advisor support, vendor relationships, reporting, analytics, and performance monitoring.
- Develop, update, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and member experience.
- Lead and mentor a national sales team, providing training, support, and accountability to achieve individual and team objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- CFP certification required; Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66 licenses required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience selling investment and insurance products.
- Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and ability to maintain compliance.
- Bondable and maintainable bondable status in accordance with credit union regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
