About the role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the backbone of Jasper AI and Clipdrop, developing and maintaining scalable backend APIs that support the ambitious goals of our applications and systems. You'll collaborate closely with our research team to integrate the latest AI models into our platform and play a crucial role in optimizing and securing our backend infrastructure.

This role is open to candidates located in France. Individuals must be able visit the Paris office every few months for onboarding and standing All Hands meetings.

What you will do at Jasper:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend APIs to support the functionality of Jasper AI's applications and systems.
• Collaborate with the research team to seamlessly bring AI models into production on our inference platform.
• Continuously enhance the performance and efficiency of our backend systems to meet the growing needs of our business and user base.
• Implement comprehensive testing and monitoring protocols to ensure the reliability and security of our backend architecture.
• Work within cross-functional teams to define, design, and launch new features that enhance the Jasper AI experience.
• Proactively contribute to the evolution of our backend systems' architecture to support scalability and innovation.

What you will bring to Jasper:

• Demonstrated proficiency in one or more strongly typed backend languages, experience with Typescript and Python valued.
• Proven track record of building and scaling high-availability, secure backend systems.
• Experience with DevOps practices, preferably in a Google Cloud Platform environment.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent spoken and written English language skills.
