Billing (AR) Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist with a strong background in Accounts Receivable (AR) and collections through email and calls. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in billing, AR, and collections, with a proven track record of effectively managing receivables, reducing delinquencies, and improving cash flow. The Billing Specialist will oversee the billing cycle, manage customer accounts, and proactively follow up on outstanding balances through email and phone. This position requires excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• The billing and AR specialist is responsible for sending invoices to clients & monitoring outstanding balances to ensure each account is paid on time & in full.
• Securely handle client data and payment information.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner, working closely with internal departments and external clients as needed.
• Proactively contact customers via email and phone to follow up on overdue invoices and secure payments within established timelines.
• Accurately document all collection activities, notes, and communications in the billing system or customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, and collections, specifically handling collections through email and calls.
• Proficiency in accounting software with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of billing processes, accounts receivable principles, andcollection techniques.
• Excellent communication skills (written & Verbal both).
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP systems or billing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility to work during US hours (India Night Shift hours) is essential for this role.
• Candidates must have their own system/work setup for remote work.
