Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and ambitious Field Marketing Manager to join Informa TechTarget’s Demand Generation team. This role will be responsible for planning and executing face-to-face and digital programs that help engage target accounts, accelerate pipeline, and support sales goals. The ideal candidate combines both experience with event strategies and the digital marketing campaign execution necessary to promote them.

Within Corporate Marketing, the Demand Gen team sits at the intersection of brand, customer acquisition and growth, content creation, and operations. Our team plays critical roles in supporting our go-to-market efforts by creating a variety of campaigns, including hosted events, tradeshows, webinars, virtual events, e-books, blog posts, and more. In collaboration with Product and Sales, we leverage this programming to target and engage our core audiences, converting them into the sales pipeline that helps drive revenue growth. As marketing innovators for our division, we share a passion for B2B marketing and a constant drive to optimize and improve - and we have a lot of fun while we’re at it!

Responsibilities:

  • You will report directly to the Sr. Marketing Programs Manager and work cross-functionally with both the Director of Field Marketing and with Sales Leadership on regional field marketing needs, including planning, developing, executing and reporting on regional events. This includes organizing our own in-person events and Informa TechTarget’s presence at tradeshows.
  • Additionally, you may plan, project manage and execute a variety of marketing programs – including webinars, virtual events, field activations – to drive engagement and generate pipeline in support of go-to-market objectives.
  • Strive to deliver on campaign goals (event registration, attendance, lead conversions) and understand/remediate shortfalls.
  • Help identify a roster of marketing talent and thought leaders to maximize content presentation opportunities at in-person and virtual events.
  • Develop strong writing and creative skills for localised email copy and promotional assets that drive attendance and engagement for field programs and events.
  • Be a proactive and thoughtful partner with our Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, Customer Success and Sales teams to support program success, execute cross-functional projects, aligned with our culture of helpful collaboration.
  • Facilitate project kick-offs and strategic planning sessions, sensing when to proactively lead, when to create space for others, and when to draw out energy and insight from extended teams.

Qualifications

  • Self-determined and quite autonomous, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills that can be leveraged across a range of mediums; from engaging internal partners with a well-worded email to building rapport at a customer event.
  • An existing or budding passion for the fast-paced and ever-evolving B2B marketing space.
  • Reliability; being accountable for deadlines and projects, and communicating early and clearly when challenges arise.
  • A can-do, positive attitude when approaching new opportunities and projects.
  • A fast learner with the ability to quickly adopt and execute new marketing ideas, methods and technologies.
  • A knack for creativity that can push programs and campaigns to new heights.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, or at a marketing agency
  • Experience in managing and organizing events
  • Project management expertise with a proven track record of successful delivery
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience building internal and external relationships
  • Proficiency in German is a bonus
