Senior User Experience Designer (Gaming Experience Mandatory)

We're looking for a Senior User Experience Designer with significant experience in the gaming industry who is passionate about providing our customers with the best user experience possible through our product offerings. You will report directly to our Chief Product Officer.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and design interactive interfaces and wireframes in Figma / Unity.
• Craft end-to-end designs (user flows, interaction, visual, etc.) across multiple platforms (i.e., VR, web, mobile) and projects.
• Champion player focused gameplay flows and accessible user experiences.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to understand:
  • Who we are solving for
  • What the user is trying to do
  • Why the user is trying to do it
• Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features launch at the highest quality.
• Work with the Creative Lead to establish studio UI/UX design methodologies.
• Collaborate with our UX research team to interview customers and derive qualitative insights to inform product decisions.
• Build and maintain high quality visual assets for in-app use.
• Provide and receive feedback to refine designs and optimize user experiences across the entire product.
• Clearly articulate design decisions to our team.
• Stay up-to-date on trends, technologies, and innovations in the game industry in order to solve design and implementation problems in our own products.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years in user experience design
• Minimum 2 years experience in the gaming industry
• Ability to design cross-platform (i.e., VR, web, mobile)
• Proficiency in Figma or other industry standard visual design softwares
• Experience utilizing research and data to drive product design and decision- making
• Experience in Unity or other modern 3D game engines
• Provide a portfolio of previous work on multiple projects and platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Game Engine implementation / Rapid prototyping experience
  • Experience prototyping 3D interactions or interfaces using Unity
• Experience designing for VR
• Experience in User Research
• Experience with at least one shipped gaming title
