Global Event Management & Strategy: Industry Event (Tradeshow) Senior Specialist

An event professional that gets excited about building, growing, and creating. You have driven sponsorships at 3rd party industry events as well as supported proprietary internal, marketing, and educational events. This individual contributor position will play a role in advancing Illumio’s corporate message and culture as well as advance internal and external Illumio knowledge. While this position is focused on executing our presence at global industry events, it’s a rare opportunity to join an exciting team that touches multiple mediums and program types.

This role will report to Illumio’s Sr. Director, Global Event Management & Strategy. The events team is lean, and we are looking for individuals who are self-starters, ambitious, creative, and ready to make an impact.

What You Will Accomplish

• Manage Illumio sponsorships at 3rd party events including coordinating sponsored speaking sessions, booth planning, SWAG, on-site staffing and housing, and associated ancillary programs at select programs

• Support event planning for internal and external proprietary programming

• Create and manage event project timelines

• Manage workstreams to support event execution and facilitate reoccurring meetings to drive project plan and timeline

• Work with the Brand team to apply the company brand, look, and feel to all GEMS programs

• Ensures that themes and messages are applied appropriately and consistently

• Work with the Comms team on pre, mid, and post event messaging as appropriate

• Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including other marketing groups, sales, partner team, etc. to ensure consistency of message and theme is woven into the events

• Adhere to event budgets and communicate with key stakeholders

What You Will Bring:

• Three (3) or more years' experience with events, tradeshows, and/or conferences

• Detail oriented with an ability to juggle multiple projects

• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally

• Effective communicator, both written and verbal

• Ability to work under pressure and face challenges with ease

• Enthusiastic and self-starting

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to flex as needed

• Ability to manage budgets, including tracking spend with multiple vendors

• Ability to travel to events, domestically and internationally, as needed

Pay Range:

$90,000 - $104,000 USD

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, or applicable laws.
