The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a lead internal “consultant” by working directly with others in technology as well as the business to ensure alignment of business priorities with software development activities across processes, projects, services and applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Platform Management, Quality Assurance, and Operations, to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

  • Lead the design and development of software solutions, from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, coding standards, and best practices.

  • Oversee the architecture of scalable and maintainable software systems, considering factors such as performance, security, and reliability.

  • Serve as a leader, collaborator, and subject matter expert to partner with and guide other team members during the software development life cycle.

  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior resources to foster professional growth and development.

  • Ensure effective and efficient design patterns supporting hybrid (cloud/on-premise) interoperability through API- and cloud-first solution design

  • Implement automated tests and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in coordination with DevOps and Quality Assurance to ensure code quality and streamline the release process.

  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identifying root causes and implementing timely solutions to minimize impact on production systems.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and advocate for their adoption to improve product quality and team efficiency.

  • Define and document architecture and design artifacts, including functional and technical specifications, solution design documents, and other technical materials.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams including engineering, operations, and security to ensure the design and architecture of the solution meets requirements.

  • Any and all other responsibilities as needed.

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Microsoft Azure certifications are strongly preferred.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience designing and implementing custom software solutions.

  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft-based technologies and platforms including, but not limited to C#, .Net Core and SQL Server

  • Experience with DevOps pipelines, Agile software methodologies and secure coding best practices.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven experience leading technical teams and providing mentorship and guidance

  • Proficiency with APIs, orchestration, and automation.

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office software such as Word, Excel, and Visio.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $97,450.00 - $141,300.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
