YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a remote position open to candidates across Canada, with preference given to those based in the Lower Mainland who can travel to our Surrey, BC office on occasion. In this role, you will proactively identify and engage top talent through multiple sourcing strategies, supporting your assigned client groups with a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. You will play a key role in ensuring an exceptional experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders—while upholding and championing our company culture throughout the hiring process.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In the first 30 days you will:
- Conduct 1-on-1 introductory meetings with members of the Human Resources team.
- Meet individually with hiring managers in your assigned client group to understand team dynamics and hiring needs.
- Develop a solid understanding of the corporate HR strategy and objectives.
- Complete training courses in UKG Pro Recruitment & Onboarding.
- Familiarize yourself with internal TA systems, workflows, and processes.
- Complete the 30-day milestone requirements of the New Employee Onboarding (NEO) program.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to understand our employer branding and marketing strategies.
In the first 60 days you will:
- Review the GroupHEALTH FoC Annual Recruitment Strategy & Budget.
- Meet with HR and TA colleagues to deepen your understanding of our Employee Value Proposition across business units.
- Complete the 60-day milestone requirements of the NEO program.
- Begin managing active requisitions within your assigned client group.
- Join and contribute to our Social Media Strategy for recruitment.
In the first 90 days you will:
- You will be the go-to TA expert for your client group, actively managing all open roles.
- Lead and manage social media content for recruitment—highlighting new hires, employee spotlights, and milestones.
YOUR IMPACT
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned client groups, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to review requisitions, scorecards, and recruitment timelines.
- Provide consultative hiring support to ensure strong role alignment and organizational fit.
- Post vacancies and manage applications via the ATS (UKG Pro).
- Prioritize critical roles and effectively allocate your time to source top-tier candidates.
- Balance competing priorities across multiple open roles while maintaining a seamless candidate and manager experience.
- Proactively build and maintain a talent pipeline through job boards, social media, and direct outreach.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to identify long-term hiring needs and promote our employer brand.
- Analyze key recruitment metrics (e.g., turnover, time-to-fill) to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
- Support new hire onboarding in partnership with HR.
- Produce weekly recruitment update reports for your business units.
- Manage all incoming TA requests for your client group through Jira.
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date tracking of candidate files and TA metrics.
- Represent GroupHEALTH at job fairs and networking events.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the annual recruitment strategy and budget.
- Lead and support assigned Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
THIS IS YOU
- 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, either in-house or within an agency setting.
- Strong full-cycle recruitment experience required.
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field is an asset.
- Experience with sales or cold-calling is a plus.
- Proficient in using an ATS (UKG Pro preferred) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to act as a strategic advisor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

YOUR COMPENSATION
At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary for this position is $60,000-70,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
