Project Manager The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget. This includes supervising assigned resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

  • Project Delivery
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and achieve the utilization target.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Define and manage project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders and develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Develop, deliver, and determine the frequency of status reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations, analyze results, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Monitor project objectives and deliverables according to the organization's guidelines.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Conduct project lessons learned post-mortem documents and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Direct and manage project development, resources, and schedule using appropriate tools.
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project cycle.
  • Perform other tasks related to project or customer activities, as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Monitor and approve assigned resources time entry and comments
  • Prepare invoice support documentation and obtain client approval for work performed.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders and team members on an ongoing basis.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team (includes customer).
  • Business Development
  • Support Sales Team and Directors with budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities and contribute with marketing activities.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Look for ways to improve the project's timeliness.
  • Contribute to the organization’s growth and business areas.
  • Develop tools and practices for better project execution and management.
  • Develop new skills through proper training and proper use of bench time.
  • Establish relationships with professional groups, and encourage the team members’ participation in the corresponding activities.
  • Complete new certifications and improve his/her the expertise, attributes and capacities.

You will love this job if you have:

  • 2 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • 5+ years experience in public sector - government software implementation projects.
  • Project Management Certifications a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS-Project or Primavera.
  • Database and operating systems experience a plus.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of development platforms.
  • Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Flexible during times of change, and deadline proximities.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise.
  • Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer centric orientation required.
  • Full vailability to visit customer sites and office as required by project or customer.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

  • NOTE: This role needs to be located in Puerto Rico with availability to visit customer sites as needed.

  • Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.
  • Responsible for ensuring the data privacy of our employees and customers, their data, as well as taking all required privacy training in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies.
