About The Role

The Manager, Offsite SEO is responsible for leading a team of link builders to successfully establish relationships and earn high-quality links from other relevant domains across the internet in a predictable and sustainable manner. The role requires continuous learning and coaching of the team on established best practices for outreach, and ideating new innovative solutions to help them meet their goals.

This is a people management role with high expectations of communication, project management, and technical skills. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of scaled email communication, relationship building, and coaching a team on high-volume low success rate campaigns. Experience with offsite SEO, link building, and digital PR, are major pluses, but not required. This role is located in Bengaluru.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Ensure Work is Aligned with Company and SEO Goals and Best Practices:
    • Lead the Offsite Team to hit their collective goals with coaching, instruction, and oversight
    • Create an annual roadmap of strategic initiatives to optimize outreach campaigns
    • Ensure each team member is efficiently progressing through weekly outreach campaigns
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
    • Manage risk of Google manual actions or algorithmic penalties for G2
    • Coach the team on link assessments, outreach strategies, and risk management
    • Engage in regular analysis of email outreach best practices to innovate and drive continuous improvement
    • Understanding of content marketing strategies to attract organic links to the G2 domain
  • People Management:
    • Conduct performance reviews, PDP conversations, and offer ongoing coaching and mentorship to your direct reports
    • Hold weekly 1:1 meetings with your team members and attend management meetings with CSO leadership
    • Lead bi-weekly team huddles in collaboration with the Sr. Director of SEO

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in link outreach OR business development outreach
  • 3+ years of people management experience OR a strong track record of successful collaboration and coaching of peers
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Extensive experience establishing relationships and communicating clear asks with scaled email campaigns.
  • Strong attention to detail in your work and feedback for others
  • Strong qualities in clear written and verbal communication to drive collaboration and create consensus on strategic projects
