What You'll Do
A successful Data Product Owner is accountable for the full end to end lifecycle of portfolio of data products, including vision, product requirement documentation, story writing, development, testing, integration (FA or partner systems), deployment, usage, adoption, client satisfaction and continuous improvement. The Data Product Owner is passionate about data and using analytical insights to make a big and lasting impact. The Data Product Owner will drive the activities of the cross-functional teams who will build, integrate or enhance any new or existing data products in their respective portfolio aligned to the product roadmap using Agile methodology. They will maximize data product reusability and repeatability & focus on revenue growth.

Note: this position is based in the United States and remote.

Responsibilities:
More specifically, the Data Product Owner will:
  • Dive into and understand FA’s data structure and listen to the market (internal and external users) to clearly define how FA data sets can solve market problems, then use this information to drive short and long-term product roadmap priorities
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate business requirements, breaking them down into epics, themes, and features and creating actionable user stories with acceptance criteria for the design team to conceptualize and the development team to implement.
  • Act as an ambassador for the data product internally and externally, and as the primary contact and subject matter expert for the product.
  • Manage and own end-to-end product lifecycle for your data product including prioritization of bugs/enhancements along with building and launching new offerings.
  • Track product performance metrics to ensure we are meeting or exceeding targets, pivot product roadmap direction as necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product roadmap is aligned with stakeholder needs.
What You May Need to be Successful:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or equivalent degree or work experience
  • 2+ years demonstrated success in a Data Product role, or 4+ years of experience in a Data Analytics role
  • Expertise in Excel and analyzing larger data sets within Excel
  • Hands-on and practical experience in an Agile environment in a global, public organization
  • Strong technical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and roadmapping tools like JIRA, Trello, et al.
  • Experience in background screening and SQL a plus
