LIMS Field Engineer

Become an Outcoder as a LIMS Field Engineer.

As a LIMS Field Engineer, you will lead technical projects with or without the assistance of a Project Manager. This field-based role requires significant travel (around 50%) and focuses on implementation and support for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You will work closely with clients, Thermo management, and the sales team to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific or information technology field.
• Minimum five years of commercial or academic experience in scientific measurement or laboratory automation.
• At least two years of experience in .NET development.
• At least two years of experience with ASP or other web technologies for IIS applications.
• Knowledge of SampleManager or other LIMS systems (e.g., Stability, Instrument Manager, SQC, Web Interface).
• At least two years of experience in requirements gathering and design specification writing.
• At least two years of experience in the service delivery business.
• Proficiency in VGL programming is desired.
• Experience with instrument integration services.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese. Spanish proficiency is desirable.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
