Element works closely with organisations including the NATO, United Nations, and more than 25 governments to provide sovereign workplace solutions for public administration.

We are building something important for highly regulated and security-sensitive environments, and we cannot do that without a diverse and high-performing team. Our hiring process is designed to be respectful, transparent and fair.

    • Plan and execute integrated campaigns across key channels and audiences
    • Adapt and localise global marketing activity for the German market where needed
    • Work closely with Sales and SDR teams to support pipeline generation, lead handover processes and follow-up activity where required
    • Collaborate closely with Sales on regional priorities, campaign execution and feedback loops from the field
  • Demand generation
    • Develop and execute demand generation initiatives to support lead and pipeline growth
    • Work with partner organisations on joint campaigns, co-marketing activities and other demand generation initiatives
    • Support campaign planning, targeting, messaging and performance tracking
  • Content creation
    • Create and adapt marketing content across a range of formats and channels, including landing pages, website content, product pages, presentations, campaign assets, emails, socials, event materials and sales enablement collateral
    • Support occasional product announcements in collaboration with internal teams
    • Ensure all content is clear, consistent and aligned with broader campaign and brand messaging
  • Paid social and agency management
    • Manage paid social activity, particularly LinkedIn campaigns, in collaboration with an external agency
    • Provide clear briefs, monitor performance and work with the agency to optimise campaigns
    • Use your understanding of paid media to shape campaign direction and ensure delivery against objectives
  • HubSpot and marketing operations
    • Work within HubSpot to support campaign execution, reporting, optimisation and support lead and contact sales activity
    • Manage the relationship with our HubSpot consultancy partner, leveraging their expertise while maintaining ownership of execution and coordination
    • Track and report on campaign performance, engagement and contribution to pipeline
    • Consider/explore use of AI-based systems within marketing operations
  • Events and field activity
    • Plan and execute participation in key industry events, conferences and field marketing activities
    • Coordinate messaging, logistics, materials, and internal alignment for events and sponsorships
    • Support the Matrix Foundation and the annual Matrix Conference, helping drive Element’s visibility, engagement and presence at one of the most important events in our ecosystem

We are Element, the company behind the popular secure messaging and collaboration app of the same name. Our core mission is to empower individuals and organizations with control over their communications, championing data sovereignty and privacy in an increasingly centralized digital world. We believe that private conversations are a fundamental human right, and we're passionate about building an open web for communication where anyone can talk to anyone, securely and without compromise. We are the creators and primary developers of Matrix, an open, decentralized standard for real-time communication. This means that unlike traditional messaging platforms, Element users aren't locked into a single provider. They have the freedom to choose where their data is hosted – whether it's on their own servers, through our managed hosting services, or via the public Matrix network. This commitment to decentralization and open standards is at the heart of everything we do.

Our journey began in 2017, driven by the vision of Matthew Hodgson and Amandine Le Pape, who were frustrated by the fragmented landscape of siloed communication tools. They set out to create a truly interoperable and secure alternative. Today, Element serves a diverse range of users, from individuals and communities to large enterprises and government organizations worldwide who require the highest levels of security and data control. We provide a feature-rich platform that includes end-to-end encryption by default for all private chats and calls, ensuring that only the intended recipients can access the information. Our offerings include the Element app, available across all major platforms (web, iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux), and the Element Server Suite (ESS) for organizations looking for enterprise-grade, self-hosted or fully managed deployments. We are constantly innovating, pushing the boundaries of secure communication with features like Element Call for native, end-to-end encrypted voice and video conferencing, and robust integrations to bridge communication across different platforms. We're proud to be an open-source company, with the vast majority of our code available on GitHub, fostering a vibrant community of developers and users who contribute to the Matrix ecosystem. Our commitment extends to ensuring a humane and transparent approach, not just in our technology but also in how we operate as a company.
