The Opportunity
At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
As the INR Process and Governance Lead, you’ll support the Internal Nuclear Regulation (INR) Director as required and leading on interfaces on a planned and ad hoc basis. This may include; Support to the INR Director of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear power construction project, in discharging their responsibilities and accountabilities in preparation for senior level interface points including but not limited to: Nuclear Safety Committee, Primary and Secondary Hold Point Panel, Level 2, 3 and 4 interactions with the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), Corrective Action Review Group (CARG), Operational Development Committee, Safety Health and Environment Committee (SHEC), Project Review Meeting, Strategic Risk Review and Portfolio Risk Review.

The salary associated with this role is from £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll have and continue to develop a sound and ever-expanding understanding of strategic risk across the project. Working with interfaces points within the wider HPC Project to report on strategic risks, including progress against mitigation plans and link to performance.
Have a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the HPC Project to gather collective intelligence for the function. Develop relationships with the wider delivery teams and departments in coordination with and in complement to the wider INR team. Always operate as a member of a collaborate and supportive team – seeking collective goal satisfaction and playing an integral part in that team dynamic.
Delivery of the annual INR Plan including quarterly updates. Maintenance of the INR Mandate and Manual. Support understanding of and reporting of strategic risk across the project, including progress against mitigation plans and link to performance. Lead on maintaining oversight of the INR function compliance with its own arrangements and corporate company expectations. Lead on maintaining the collective training compliance and discipline competence across the team. Support development of and consistent delivery of the INR vision and associated team individual development.
Who You Are
Experience of working in a regulated and/or energy environment. Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. Strong written communication skills (presentations, reports). Strong influencing, communication and negotiation skills to command professional respect at all levels. Commercial awareness and reasoning. Degree or equivalent. Demonstrable experience of complex and effective stakeholder management.
Demonstrable experience of complex problem solving and solution delivery. Highly proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Understanding of the nuclear energy industry. Technical knowledge of nuclear power station construction and/or operations would be advantageous.
