Location: UK/EMEA - homebased with some travel required

About the role

Our Compliance and Risk (C&R) team within Regulatory Services is looking for a Compliance and Risk Team Manager to ensure BSI remains compliant with regulations associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in particular, and Medical Devices and Product Certification in general according to business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of work programmes to ensure compliance with all the aspects of regulatory services
  • Work with stakeholders to champion compliance and risk management with AI; Develop knowledge and skills to become the authoritative voice of C&R in relation to AI; lead the development of programmes to increase capacity and capability in connection with compliance and risk activities related to AI across the business
  • Work across all Compliance and Risk business areas including Medical Devices and Product Certification; Champion the importance of regulatory compliance and impartiality across all areas of the business,
    upholding all relevant standards
  • Be an active participant in the Compliance and Risk Senior Management Team

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Degree level education in a relevant subject area or equivalent experience
  • Extensive work experience in a relevant sector e.g. regulation, product development, healthcare/clinical
  • A high level of knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and awareness of AI, medical devices and IVD regulations
  • Extensive awareness of risk management processes and standards
  • Management and communication skills, proactiveness
