What we are looking for:
We are seeking a Team Lead, Front End Developer to join us as we form a new front end team. As the Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of developers to design, develop, and deploy robust and efficient React-based applications. In addition to being hands on, this role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in React development, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team and work on a variety of projects that push the boundaries of technology.
What you’ll do:
Lead a team of React developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster their professional growth and development
Architect and design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance React-based web applications.
Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable, and efficient React components and user interfaces
Implement front-end features and functionalities in alignment with project requirements and timelines
Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure code quality and consistency
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services and data sources
Optimize application performance and ensure scalability by implementing caching strategies and performance monitoring tools
Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Conduct UI Testing
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes, tools, and methodologies
Recommended Minimum Qualifications:Education and Experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job.
Minimum of six (6) years of technical experience focused on front-end software development in React. Experience in React 18 is a plus, but open to experience with React 17.
Prior experience as a people leader or mentor to developers with a deep interest in operating as a people leader in your next role
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies
Knowledge of serverless architecture and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating frontend applications with backend services
Understanding of software security principles and best practices
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities, is a plus but not required
