OVERVIEW:

Job Purpose:

As a Lead Analytics Engineer, you will act as a SME in Analytics Engineering, BI, and data domain to support enterprise business needs. Mentor and advise Analytics Engineering team members and lead design and development standards and practices for data modeling and BI dashboards, data visualizations, and applications and ensure adoption by the team.

Job Responsibilities:

Data Modeling and Visualization

• Drive the design of highly complex datamodels and BI applications toenable easy consumption and analysis.

• Selectappropriate data and BI tools and technologies to implement solutions, implementing anddocumenting industry best practices to be used by the team.

Functional/Technical Requirements

• Leverage advanced experience, knowledge, andskillset in Analytics Engineeringand data domain to drive functionaland technical requirements for AnalyticsEngineering as part of an Agile team withProduct Managers, Analysts, AnalyticsEngineers, and Data Engineers.

• Act as a SME fordata and business needs withindomain.

Program/PortfolioManagement Support

• Contribute to the managementof a portfolio of programs whilereporting to andin partnership with senior teammates.

• Support production processes and adviseteam on troubleshooting and resolutionsto reduce incidents.

• Trainengineeringteammates in coding, data modeling, and BI developmentbest practices andconduct code review ensuring repeatable and easy-to-maintainprocesses areimplemented amongst the team.

TechnicalDevelopmentsRecommendation

• Discuss and recommend advanced and innovative data and BI solutions to bettermeet business, performance, and/or qualityneeds.

• Recognize opportunities forbetter process improvements and work with senior teammatesto implement.

Ongoing Learningand Development

• Explore and develop detailed understandingof external developments or emerging issues and evaluate impact tothe organization and team. Identifygapsin current solutions and BI toolsand technologies.

• Recommend newtechnologies needed to accelerate thebusiness.

• Develop cost/benefit analysisand assist in implementation ofnew tools and platforms.

TechnologyExperience

• Expert-level experience with:BusinessIntelligence (BI) tools (e.g.Microsoft Power BI, Qlik Sense,Looker,Tableau); Cloud platforms (e.g.Microsoft Azure,Google Cloud Platform (GCP);Cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake,GoogleBigQuery);Databases (e.g. Oracle);Version control systems and CI/CD (e.g.GitHub, GitHub Actions)

• Expert development experience in SQLrequired.

• Fully competent-level of Python developmentand data architecture experiencepreferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level Preferred

• 6-10 years of experience
