About DataCamp

DataCamp's mission is to empower everyone with the data and AI skills essential for 21st-century success. By providing practical, engaging learning experiences, DataCamp equips learners and organizations of all sizes to harness the power of data and AI. As a trusted partner to over 14 million learners and 5,000+ companies, including 80% of the Fortune 1000, DataCamp is leading the charge in addressing the critical data and AI skills shortage.

About the role

The rapid rise of generative AI is transforming how work gets done across every function—from marketing and finance to HR, product, and customer service. Yet, most professionals lack the foundational knowledge and practical confidence to use AI effectively and responsibly.

As Curriculum Manager in Artificial Intelligence, you’ll lead the development of a best-in-class curriculum that bridges the gap between conceptual understanding and practical application. Your focus will be on building AI courses for professionals across diverse domains.

You’ll work with expert instructors, curriculum designers, and cross-functional teams to create interactive learning experiences that help professionals understand how AI works, what it can and can’t do, and how to use it to augment their day-to-day work using the latest tools and workflows.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about making AI accessible, impactful, and intuitive for everyone, regardless of technical background.

About you

At DataCamp, we value initiative, clarity, ownership, and a learner-first mindset. You’re someone who:

  • Understands the broader implications of AI across industries and job functions.
  • Has a solid technical foundation and a genuine understanding of how AI tools work—you don’t just use them at face value or rely on hype.
  • Can empathize with and build educational content for different profiles, from leaders to front-line workers and everyone in between.
  • Is deeply curious about AI tools, trends, and applications—especially in applied settings.
  • Stays current with the latest trends, tools, and techniques shaping the AI ecosystem.
  • Thrives on collaboration, thrives in ambiguity, and takes ownership from idea to launch.
  • Communicates clearly and enjoys translating abstract concepts into actionable insight.

If that resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will focus your time on the following areas:

Content Strategy & Development

  • Design and manage a curriculum focused on AI concepts and off-the-shelf tooling, including:
    • Conceptual foundations of AI and machine learning (e.g., how generative models work, responsible AI best practices, what AI agents are, etc…).
    • Content around AI workflows, best practices, and limitations tailored to specific business functions (e.g., marketing, customer support, HR, finance, education, and product management)
    • Tools beyond ChatGPT—extending to function-specific assistants and tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, n8n, Zapier, Perplexity, etc.)
    • Prompt writing, task design, and evaluation techniques tailored to business users.
  • Collaborate with instructors to create accessible, engaging, and high-impact learning experiences.
  • Act as learner zero—ensuring all content is intuitive, actionable, and aligned with learner needs.
  • Use learner feedback, content analytics (via Looker and SQL), and industry signals to improve existing content and inform new course development.
  • Source and recruit top-tier instructors with deep expertise in relevant tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

Project Management & Collaboration

  • Own the end-to-end content development lifecycle for new courses.
  • Set project timelines and manage instructor contributions.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to scope and validate content.
  • Champion content excellence through internal reviews and structured feedback loops.
  • Identify ways AI can streamline content production processes and improve content quality.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical background, focusing on clearly communicating concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated interest in generative AI and productivity tooling (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, n8n, Zapier, Replit Code Agent, etc…).
  • Familiarity with a wide range of functional AI use cases—marketing, operations, finance, education, etc.
  • Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or education technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with content creators, educators, and subject matter experts.

DataCamp's journey began in 2013, born from the vision of founders Jonathan Cornelissen, Martijn Theuwissen, and Dieter De Mesmaeker. They recognized a burgeoning global demand for data science and analytics professionals and a significant gap in accessible, practical education to meet this need. What started as a focused initiative to democratize data skills quickly evolved into a leading online learning platform. The founders' foresight was underscored by industry reports highlighting a substantial shortfall of data scientists, fueling their mission to provide interactive, engaging, and hands-on learning experiences.

The platform was meticulously designed to cater to learners of all levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned professionals, offering a diverse and ever-expanding library of courses. Initially concentrating on R and Python, the cornerstones of data science programming, DataCamp systematically broadened its curriculum to encompass SQL, spreadsheets, Tableau, Power BI, and cutting-edge topics like AI and machine learning. This expansion was driven by the platform's commitment to real-world applicability, ensuring that learners could not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also practice and apply their skills in an interactive coding environment. Over the years, DataCamp has cultivated a vibrant global community, attracting millions of individual learners and thousands of enterprise clients. Partnerships with academic institutions and industry experts further enriched its offerings, solidifying its position as a go-to resource for individuals seeking to upskill and organizations aiming to foster data-driven cultures. Today, DataCamp continues its narrative of growth and innovation, constantly updating its content and platform features to keep pace with the dynamic landscape of data and AI, empowering individuals and businesses worldwide to harness the power of data.
