Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in building scalable, cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate has significant hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI, as well as advanced knowledge of PySpark, SQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
This role involves designing and developing end-to-end data pipelines, implementing modern data models, and delivering impactful analytics solutions in a dynamic, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark technologies (Databricks, Azure Synapse).

• Implement and optimize advanced data models, including Data Vault and dimensional modeling.

• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, including paginated reports, ensuring high performance and usability.

• Build and maintain big data and NoSQL solutions, with a focus on MongoDB performance tuning and query optimization.

• Work with ERP data sources (e.g., D365 FO) to support reporting and analytics needs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.

• Implement best practices in data governance, pipeline orchestration, automation, and CI/CD.

• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and support DevOps-driven development workflows.

• Ensure high data quality, reliability, and security across all implemented solutions.

Required Skills Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar Data Analytics engineering role.

• Strong expertise in distributed data processing using Spark (Databricks, Azure Synapse).

• Advanced proficiency in PySpark, Python, SQL, and familiarity with Java.

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and cloud ecosystems (preferably Azure).

• Proven experience with Power BI, including complex dashboards and paginated reports.

• Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB (schema design, indexing, performance tuning).

• Experience with data modeling techniques: Data Vault, star schemas, snowflake schemas, etc.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, data orchestration, and DevOps principles.

• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in international, cross-functional teams.
