Job Summary
The Analyst, People Data & Governance will support the People Analytics team within the CAO organization and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of HR data across various sources and platforms. The Data Quality Analyst will use various tools and techniques to identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues, such as duplicates, missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a HCM data catalog, HCM data taxonomy, a HR KPI matrix and a reporting inventory
- Perform data quality audits and assessments on various HR data sources and platforms
- Design and execute data quality tests, validations, and reconciliations, and report on the results and findings
- Write and maintain technical documentation, such as data quality policies, procedures, standards, and specifications
- Identify, document, and communicate data quality issues, root causes, and impacts
- Assist with the development and implementation data quality rules, standards, and metrics, and monitor their compliance and performance
- Manage data quality projects, including planning, scheduling, implementation and risk management
- Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, data engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve data quality issues and implement data quality improvement initiatives and processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates/ 2 year degree
- 2 or more years of experience in data quality analysis, data governance, or data management
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 3 or more years of experience in data quality analysis, data governance, or data management
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledgeable in SQL and other data query languages
- Knowledge of data quality concepts, principles, and methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Human Capital Management Systems, preferably Oracle Cloud
- Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Oracle Transaction Business Intelligence, Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Power BI and Tableau
- Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills, organization, analytical skills
- Acts as a self-starter. Works independently to identify, design and implement internal process improvement, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing for greater scalability
- Understanding of HR data and HR employee lifecycle processes (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), Learning and Development, Benefits and Compensation, and external benchmarking etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word and Visio
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
