TheSeniorSoftware Engineer MES is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution Systems. This role focuses on providing expert support, maintenance, and enhancements forcurrently usedMES platforms (CriticalManufacturinig&DelmiaApriso), enabling efficient production operations and rapid issue resolution. The ideal candidate combines technical troubleshooting skills with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and a commitment to delivering excellent service tobusiness-users.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver second-line support for MESplatforms,addressing incidents, service requests, and user queries in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve MES system issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, and patches to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, QA, IT) toanalyzeand resolve MES-related problems.
Document support activities, solutions, and system modifications for traceability and compliance.
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for recurring issues.
Develop or configure new or updated system functionalities.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for MES systems, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
Provide training and support to MES users, promoting best practices and system adoption.
Stay updated on MES (CMF &Apriso) developments and recommend improvements.
Contribute to the testing and deployment of new MES functionalities and integrations.
Assist in task estimation, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives for MES supportactivities
Apply agile methodologies and principles to manage projects and deliver value quickly and efficiently.
Key Requirements
More than 5years of experience inapplications of IT support, with a focus onregulatoryand Quality Solutions.
Experience supporting and maintaining MES platforms, specifically Critical Manufacturing (CMF) is mandatory.
Proficient communication skills to align with Business Users.
Proficient in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software and system issues in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and MES workflows.
Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL), scripting, and integration with shop-floor equipment.
Knowledge of ITIL(IT infrastructure Library)or similar service management frameworks is an advantage.
Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile) and version control systems (e.g., GitHub).
Proficient in one or more programming languages relevant to MES systems (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to document technical solutions and provide user training.
Team player with strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to participate in on-call support rotations and respond to urgent production issues when required.
Education/Qualifications
ABachelor's/Mastersdegree inEngineering, Software development, Information technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Itil4,GMPorDatabasetechnologies is a plus
Travel Requirements
Position involve travel up to10% of the time, mostly within Europe, Asia Pacific, and Americas.
Most trips will include overnight travel.
