Mission
- This position is responsible for understanding the scope and context of the sales strategy and identifying sales opportunities within its customer base, which is comprised of communications, marketing, public relations agencies, and end customers. This work collaborates with customers and internal stakeholders to demonstrate the value of PR Newswire's Release Distribution solution and successfully achieve projected sales goals. It will also be responsible for developing new businesses in some key sectors.
Main Responsabilities
- Develops, fosters, and maintains relationships to serve as a trusted advisor with client leaders and stakeholders. Can understand brands, competition and customer challenges and anticipate changes in business priorities to optimize and drive revenue growth.
- Acts to identify sales opportunities within its customer base and act as hunter for new business, contributes to the Sales strategy.
- Performs all phases of the sales process via telephone and web presentations, proposals, contract negotiations and final closing.
- Understands evolving press release distribution product developments and applies best practices to enhance overall service delivery and customer experience.
- Liaises actively with industry associations and networks for new business opportunities.
Skills
- Intermediate or advanced level in English, written and oral, desirable.
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration, communications, marketing, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing sales accounts in multidisciplinary industries. Experience within a corporate communications structure, as well as public relations and marketing agencies, is an advantage.
- Working knowledge and success in achieving sales goals and building the sales pipeline.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM software,
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, persuade and influence customers, leaders, and stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge and exposure to social media and digital marketing initiatives.
- Advanced time management, attention to detail and organizational skills. Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to respond to changing work priorities, pressure and demands.
- Stays up to date with the latest sales methodologies, tools, best practices and industry/market processes.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- In-depth knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. Practical knowledge of web conferencing tools such as Zoom and Teams and sales tools like Outreach and Ramper.
- Having previously worked as an SDR is an advantage.
- Be familiar with prospecting goals, scheduling meetings, cold calls, and preparing proposals.
