We are seeking a Project Accounting Coordinator to join our team in Oakville, Ontario. As a key member of our project accounting team, you will be responsible for managing timekeeping, cost reporting, and invoice reconciliation. You will support both accounts payable and receivable activities, ensure accurate payroll for unionized and non-unionized teams, and help shape fair compensation plans. In this highly collaborative role, you will work closely with project managers, field teams, and finance staff to resolve timesheet issues, track project costs, and support resource planning—all while contributing to the smooth financial operation of our projects.
Requirements
- Must be able to clear the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) government security assessment.
- Valid security clearance for Bruce Power and Ontario Power Generation sites desirable.
- Degree or diploma in business administration desirable or equivalent combination of education and related professional experience.
- Accurate and quick learner who is highly organized.
- Strong time management skills and able to re-assess priorities to ensure due dates are met.
- Understanding of general project accounting practices.
- Experience with customer site specific training and comprehension of policies, procedures and regulations of the nuclear industry.
- Proven ability to succeed in autonomous assignments.
- Strong aptitude for the elimination of manual processes/waste.
- Strong aptitude with Microsoft Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with working in a unionized environment.
- Collective Agreements and Wage Schedules.
- Experience in SharePoint – navigation and working knowledge for centralized project documentation storage.
