Job Title: Business Development Representative - Remote

Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with potential clients. You will be responsible for generating leads, qualifying prospects, and nurturing them through the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and identify potential clients through research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to determine their fit for our products or services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
  • Conduct introductory meetings and product demonstrations to educate prospects about our offerings.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for engaging and converting leads into customers.
  • Track and report on sales activities and performance metrics using CRM software.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Continuously improve sales techniques and processes to optimize lead generation and conversion rates.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in sales, business development, or a related role.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence others effectively.
  3. Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  4. Self-motivated and proactive attitude with a passion for sales and customer acquisition.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  6. Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  7. Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
  8. Ability to manage stress and anxiety levels in complex and fast paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Outbound Activity: Demonstrated ability to consistently enhance the volume of outbound efforts. Scrappy personality that trusts the process and knows the results follow from consistently putting in the work.
  3. Conversion Metrics: Led teams in setting meetings that converted to Sales Accepted Leads (SAL), completed demos, and ultimately booked ARR
  4. Consistent Performance: Maintained consistent top performance month over month relative to peers in BDR / SDR function
  5. Deal Characteristics: Ideally has experience identifying, targeting, and generating new deals in the $25-50k ACV range in GovTech.
