Therapy Awareness Manager Watchman (m/f/d) - Paris Area

Purpose of the role

This role is responsible for the development & adoption of LAAC therapies in an assigned market. This position will design and execute a therapy awareness plan that is in alignment with the strategic priorities of Boston Scientific Watchman division focusing on the referral network activation. This role is responsible for ensuring the assigned territory meets or exceeds sales objectives. Strong partnership and collaboration with the WM leadership team and local sales team will be critical to the success and mission of the role

As part of the responsibility, the Therapy Awareness Manager will develop and leverage relationships with medical Key Opinion Leaders/Hospital administration & Medical societies, with the goal of increasing the number of patients treated with and/or market share of product franchises, by standardizing the LAAC patient pathway and activating the referral network

Key Responsibilities

  • Define LAAC Therapy Awareness strategy across main European target countries and lead a group or team of Therapy Awareness Reps in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization
  • Identify key accounts, health care professionals, and business issues that have the greatest effect on use of company products by meeting with existing and potential customers. Classify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care. Determine where our therapies can assist in providing a comprehensive healthcare solution
  • Identify key referral networks for the WATCHMAN therapy, mapping the patient pathway and prioritize the most impactful one among Electrophysiologists, Gastroenterologists, Nephrologists, Neurologist, Interventional Cardiologists etc. up to Primary Care Physicians
  • Ensures increasing numbers of patient treatment and clinical success through the education and training of stakeholders involved in patient identification and referral
  • Develop and enhance these relationships through therapy awareness activities, routine customer visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, procedural observation, trade show participation and problem resolution
  • Develop and continually enhance relationships with administrative hospital personnel (e.g. casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to gain knowledge on unique hospital business dynamics and to identify key decision makers
  • Educate physicians and AHPs on main clinical data supporting the LAAC therapy
  • Develops action plans (i.e. weekly, quarterly, monthly) by analyzing quarterly and monthly sales figures and reports identifying the needs of target accounts and discussing issues with Regional Sales Manager and Account Manager / Clinical Sales Rep to help the organization achieve its annual sales goals
  • Meets with existing and potential referring networks by traveling (in an automobile or airplane) to identify their needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them to achieve their goals
  • Works in close cooperation with the sales teams in developing and maintaining working relationships with the stakeholders in the target accounts

Quality Systems Requirements

In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable:

  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

Your background

  • Preferred 4 to 7 years proven experience in sales management, in Pharma industry
  • Experience in EMEA roles and knowledge about the main countries’ healthcare systems (Germany, France, UK, Italy, Spain)
  • Additional 2-4 years’ experience in MedTech industry in Sales, Business Development or Market Access / Health Economics roles is welcome

  • Has experience in applying this knowledge in a variety of situations to accomplish work

  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization
