Road Map:
As a Product Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading product messaging, product releases, sales collateral, and persona intelligence. You will work collaboratively with marketing, executives, product, sales, and customer success to ensure the company is well-positioned in the market with a clear value proposition and differentiated offerings.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will lead product marketing for the company and be able to understand technical details and translate them to business benefits and customer value. You will maintain excellent relationships with the customer base, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
What Your Ride Will Look Like:
- Define and execute a product marketing plan that includes a messaging framework, content plan, and product positioning to drive bookings and retain customers
- Build out a product marketing infrastructure, including the development of a product marketing plan and distribution of external and internal assets
- Be the expert on the company’s buyers and personas and identify market patterns and opportunities
- Collaborate with product management to understand the roadmap, releases, and new product offerings and absorb that into the overall product marketing plan
- Create marketing assets including sell sheets, elevator pitches, sales presentations, persona analysis, and content pieces
- Help build sales tools such as battle cards, pitch decks, etc., and support sales enablement training efforts to educate the team on the product story and go-to-market strategy
- Strategize and help develop thought leadership pieces to build the company brand
- Work with our technology and reseller partners to develop co-marketing relationships and enablement materials to facilitate channel sales
Show Off What You Have:
- Minimum 7-10 years in B2B Marketing with over 2 years in a Product Marketing leadership role for a B2B technology company. Additional B2C experience helpful
- Experience with trucking/transportation industry a plus
- Proven track record working with product management and sales teams on go-to-market strategy and execution
- Experience with building, launching, and managing go-to-market product and feature releases for a multi-product line organization
- Comfortable speaking with and leading discussions with customers, partners, and vendors
- Knowledge and experience implementing Pragmatic Marketing framework and best practices
- Entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to achieve outstanding results
- Proven ability to work across a distributed team in a remote or hybrid environment
- Highly motivated and passionate with the ability to adapt to change
Fuel Gauge:
This role is budgeted $135,000 to $145,000 base salary.
