Sales Director, Meetings & Events (m/f/d), BCD Meetings & Events

Fulltime, located in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt or Remote Office based in Germany

As a Sales Director, Meetings & Events, you will:

  • You develop new business relationships effortlessly as well as generate and negotiate new opportunities with a focus on Event Solutions and Strategic Meetings Management.
  • You effectively (re-)present BCD Meeting & Events to potential clients through direct communication in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
  • You know how to implement new business wins into operations teams and hand over to Account Management in a clear, comprehensive, and successful strategy at an appropriate point of the relationship.
  • Traveling is a major factor and is predicted to be predominantly in Germany and Switzerland with some overnight stops. European travel can be expected from time to time.
  • You are responsible for your own lead generation and appointment setting as well as managing the appointment setting resource to develop leads through proactive sales activity.
  • You will manage and maintain a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration uses Salesforce CRM software.
  • You will take ownership of any new proposals, tenders and RFP’s assigned as their responsibility as well as attend presentations and pitches where required and create sales presentations, showreels and case studies.

You should also have:

  • A structured, flexible and service-oriented work style.
  • A polished manner and professional appearance make a fine representation of the company and our values.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Very good knowledge of the common MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A degree in sales, management or event & tourism management.
  • An excellent command of the German and English languages (verbally and in writing). Any additional European language such as French or Italian would be of added value.
