About Baptist

We are one of the country's largest not-for-profit health care systems, dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients across the Mid-South. Since opening our doors in 1912 with a single hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, we have grown into a comprehensive network that includes 22 hospitals, numerous clinics, and a team of world-class medical professionals. Our mission is deeply rooted in the three-fold ministry of Christ: healing, preaching, and teaching. This spiritual foundation guides every decision we make and inspires us to treat each patient with dignity and respect, ensuring that they receive the best possible medical outcomes.

We are proud to be a leader in medical innovation and patient care. Our integrated system features a multispecialty physician group, Baptist Medical Group, which includes more than 900 providers, as well as a regional cancer center, a heart institute, and a college of health sciences. We are committed to staying at the forefront of medical technology, utilizing advanced systems like Epic for electronic health records and partnering with industry leaders to enhance our digital capabilities. Beyond our clinical services, we are deeply invested in the well-being of our communities, offering extensive charity care and community benefit programs. We believe that by combining cutting-edge medicine with a compassionate, faith-based approach, we can truly make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
