Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer with deep expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Asset Management, and platform customizations. You’ll play a critical role in developing and enhancing ServiceNow solutions that align with our enterprise service strategy. Experience working in FEDRAMP-compliant environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions in ServiceNow focusing on ITSM, ITOM, and Asset Management modules

  • Customize workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI actions, and catalog items to meet business needs

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions

  • Develop and support integrations using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers

  • Configure and maintain Discovery, Event Management, and CMDB

  • Implement custom modules or enhancements for IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and Hardware Asset Lifecycle

  • Ensure platform scalability, performance, and adherence to security/compliance standards, including FEDRAMP (where applicable)

  • Provide best practices guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers

  • Support ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and instance cloning

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience

  • Strong expertise in ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog, Request)

  • Solid experience in ITOM components (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB)

  • Proven experience with Asset Management and lifecycle automation

  • Skilled in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting techniques

  • Familiar with Agile methodology and DevOps practices

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

  • At least one advanced ServiceNow certification (e.g., CIS – ITSM or ITOM)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in FEDRAMP or other regulated environments

  • Exposure to Performance Analytics, Flow Designer, or App Engine

  • Strong understanding of CMDB health and governance practices

  • Familiarity with source control and CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins)
