We are seeking a Senior Manager Operational Process and Access to provide national guidance and leadership for Process Excellence (PE)/ Six Sigma /Lean to deliver superior business results. In this role, you will demand leadership to drive consistency and development of a diverse pool of talent located across multiple geographic locations at Akumin Radiology facilities. You will work within a national service organization and will have a strong technical foundation and aptitude coupled with the ability to be a “collaborative facilitator” and leader championing the overall vision/mission of the Akumin Radiology process excellence organization. This role will drive effectiveness, efficiency, economic performance, enhance productivity, quality, innovation, and profitability. This position will work with executives to develop specific opportunities and allocate resources to capitalize on them. Have a strong drive to create a superior organization which will ensure quality and commitment to team member, patient, and customer satisfaction.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Training: Develops and facilitates training programs, methodologies and tools to promote a high-quality and consistent Process excellence across organization sites.

  • Determine Solution: Leads strategy development including execution of a pipeline of continuous improvement initiatives to drive simplification, reliability and overall effectiveness of Radiology services.

  • Change management: Effective at conflict resolution, communication (written and verbal), organizational management, and analytical reasoning to impact and influence change in a diverse cross-functional environment.

  • Measures and Evaluates Success of Solutions: Establishes a continuous performance and quality improvement effort and monitoring and reporting system. Measures, evaluates and reports the status of performance and quality improvement efforts and impacts.

  • Define and recommend actions to improve efficiency and level of service to clients as well as reduce spend and improve systems of internal control.

  • Communicate with senior management and internal clients on a regular basis, making them aware of critical issues confronting Akumin Radiology Operations and recommend mitigating action plans.

  • Develop, teach, and sustain process improvement skills into the organization.

  • Author policy and procedures development, standardization and continuous improvement initiatives for Akumin Radiology Operations and other department as required.

  • Lead/work with functional team to streamline processes to improve the patient and customer experience

  • Responsible for development, implementation, and enabling process excellence culture.

  • Provide support to develop CI/Lean expertise and capability with the organization at all levels.

  • Work with the expanded team to develop/promote/standardize the business process management.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university.

  • Proven track record participating in and/or leading multifunctional national teams.

  • Ability to effectively negotiate and influence upper management, other departments is a prerequisite.

  • Strong independent partnering skills working with cross-functional teams.

  • Must exhibit strong critical thinking and decision making skills with an ability to provide innovative solutions.

  • A proven track record of 5-10 years facilitating/implementing successful Process Excellence (PE)/ Six Sigma / Lean continuous improvement projects.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a healthcare or managed care environment with a focus on quality and patient/customer satisfaction.

  • Lean Training or Six Sigma Black Belt.

  • Healthcare services experience.

Physical Requirements:

Standard Office Environment.

More than 50% of the time:

  • Sit, stand, walk.

  • Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs.

  • See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients.

Less than 50% of the time:

  • Stoop, kneel or crawl.

  • Climb and balance.

  • Carry and lift 10-20 lbs.
