Job Summary:

Serves as the primary individual overseeing planning, development, and execution of Adventist Health’s revenue cycle training program. Manages a team of revenue cycle learning specialists. Supports end-to-end revenue cycle training and education for Adventist Health’s revenue cycle learning program. Collaborates with input from revenue cycle leaders and other key stakeholders to determine the learning needs of our various audiences (staff and leadership levels) and developing and implementing training programs to ensure appropriate and effective learning solutions and position the organization for achievement of goals and best practice standards. Partners with the revenue cycle operations teams and the system learning team are critical to ensure clear communication and an effective relationship between all parties, thus ensuring the overall success of Adventist Health.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred
  • Five years healthcare operations experience: Required
  • One year's leadership experience: Preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end Revenue Cycle operations, systems, metrics and analytics: Required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current permanent U.S. work authorization: Required

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and implements effective training programs, which contributes to improved job performance and continuous improvement across the revenue cycle and its staff. Continues to seek opportunities to improve the methods, modalities, and approaches used for training across revenue cycle operations. Serves as a resource providing consultative guidance related to training and development methodologies, processes, procedures, standards, tools, and best practices. Provides creative coaching and counseling skills when dealing with training, education, and development issues. Responds to general questions and issues in application of methods, techniques, and processes.
  • Gathers data and prepares statistical reports to evaluate performance and training outcomes. Develops and maintains interactive and collaborative relationships with revenue cycle leadership system learning resources and leadership, human resources, information technology, content vendors, and more. Stays current of training and development methodologies, practices, and tools. Builds, refines, and oversees the revenue cycle training offering and the effective deployment of top tier training efforts.
  • Manages the creation and/or customization of appropriate learning solutions based upon needs of the various audiences and alignment with strategies and priorities (staff and leadership levels). Provides management and leadership for all training content/curriculum creation and deployment efforts.
  • Collaborates with revenue cycle leadership to ensure training is aligned with known best practice solutions for revenue cycle operations. Ensures strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of methods, modalities, and approaches for revenue cycle job specific training solutions designed to contribute to improved job and operational performance. Seeks ways to improve the deployment and support of revenue cycle activities and services through the development of training materials and resources for existing and future staff.
  • Supervises a team of revenue cycle learning specialists. Oversees employee interviewing, hiring, and onboarding protocols. Performs quality assurance of deliverables and provide ongoing coaching and performance management support. Creates and maintains a culture supportive of personnel, fostering individual motivation, teamwork and high levels of performance and accountability.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
