THE WORK:
- You'll create and manage detailed project schedules encompassing all phases of data center construction, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- You'll define activities, sequence workflows, estimate durations, and allocate resources to establish comprehensive and accurate project timelines. Identify critical paths, key milestones, and schedule dependencies to ensure alignment with owner objectives.
- You'll track and evaluate project progress against the baseline schedule to ensure adherence to timelines. Prepare and share regular schedule status reports, including earned value analysis, milestone tracking, and variance analysis.
- You'll identify and analyze potential schedule risks, assessing their impact on project timelines and objectives. Provide early warnings to owner stakeholders regarding potential delays and recommend actionable mitigation strategies. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential delays.
- You'll perform "what-if" scenario analyses to anticipate the impact of disruptions or changes on the project schedule. Develop recovery schedules to address deviations from the baseline, ensuring project delivery stays on track.
- You'll engage with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors to align schedules with project requirements and priorities. Participate in project meetings to present schedule updates and gather insights for refinements. Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related discussions, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of scheduling issues.
- You'll coordinate and integrate schedules from subcontractors, suppliers, and other partners into the master schedule. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment of all schedules with the owner’s overall project goals. Leverage advanced scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools to create, manage, and update schedules.
- You'll identify opportunities to optimize workflows and resource allocations to enhance efficiency and meet deadlines.
- You'll support project closeout by documenting actual timelines and comparing them to baseline schedules.
- You'll maintain a repository of historical schedule data to support benchmarking, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze and report lessons learned to enhance future scheduling practices and improve project delivery outcomes.
- Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a relevant field of study, preferred or, High School diploma or GED and ten (10) years’ experience in engineering, construction, project controls or business-related field with at least five (5) years of experience in a leadership role in project controls planning and scheduling
- Minimum of (5) five years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within data center or mission-critical construction projects
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Ability to travel or relocate to project locations
- Strong experience and knowledge in scheduling optimization programs, including ALICE Technology, is preferred
- Strong knowledge and background in contract lifecycle management, project control/schedule, risk management, compliance, and cost control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
