Location: Full-time, 100% remote position in the U.S. (from home or co-working space) with occasional travel once every 2-3 months with preference for Los Angeles or New York.

About the Position

plus más mediais seeking a highly creative and dynamic Digital Media Associate, Content Creator to help expand our organization by testing different entertainment and Latino cultureshows that can scale and reach millions. Our organization is focused on engaging with Gen Z and Millennial Latinos living in the U.S., and we are looking for someone with a strong background in content creation for this audience on entertainment and Latino culture channels across social media platforms. This position is for someone who is a trendsetter and creative powerhouse, who can bring fresh, innovative, and creative ideas that will shape the future of Latino entertainment media.


Here’s what you could expect to do as Digital Media Associate, Content Creator (key responsibilities):


  • Develop, test, and iterate entertainment and cultural show content ideas that align with our brand’s vision and have the potential to become long-term franchises. Examples of shows ideas: areyouokayshow and crosswalkcrush

  • Create engaging and high-quality content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), tailored to a Gen Z and Millennial Latino audience

  • Comfort with being on-camera as a host or personality, bringing energy and authenticity to the content

  • Assist in the preparation of well-structured, engaging and persuasive copy for short-form entertainment videos (60 - 90 second videos) in Spanish, Spanglish and/or English that will be published on social media

  • Edit videos efficiently, using industry-standard tools to ensure high production value

  • Assist in the management and optimization of our social media channels in both English, Spanglish and Spanish, ensuring audience growth and engagement

  • Experiment with different content formats, styles, and trends to understand what resonates with the audience and identify the most impactful content

  • Collaborate with the project manager and video editor to ensure consistency and cohesion across all the platforms

What We’re Looking For


  • 2+ years of experience in roles such as a Social Media Content Creator, Social Media Manager or Content Strategist or similar role, and/or experience in entertainment and Latino culture channels and content, digital content creation, product development, influencer networks, or communications and marketing, ideally aligned with social justice mission.

  • Bilingual English and Spanish-speaking and writing proficiency required, Native-Spanish and English speaking and writing level is critical for success in this role

  • Social media content-creation: Proven experience creating content from concepting, scripting, filming, editing, copywriting, publishing for multiple social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, etc.). Deep knowledge of trends and content formats that resonate with the Latino Gen Z and Millennial audience. Experience creating and publishing entertainment and cultural content in TikTok channels is a plus.

  • Creative, fast-paced storyteller: Highly motivated and creative, with a passion for fast, short form storytelling and experimenting with innovative formats

  • Dynamic, on-camera presence: Strong on-camera presence and drive to create entertaining and culturally engaging videos with personality and authenticity

  • Video editing pro: Proficiency in video editing tools and production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar)

  • Agile, content visionary: Fast-paced, adaptable, and proactive, skilled at ideating and executing new content quickly

  • Deadline-driven and detail-focused: Skilled at prioritizing multiple projects, working in a fast-paced environment, meeting multiple deadlines and being detail-oriented

  • Data-informed content strategist: Comfortable with analyzing data to inform and make content creation decisions

  • Independent and adaptable team player: Known for taking initiative and completing tasks, whether creative or technical. Comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with team members from diverse backgrounds. Adaptability to remote work with team members across the country and strong time management skills.

  • Learning mindset: Willingness to learn new technologies and tech tools, including Lean Startup methodology and experimentation


Benefits

  • $48,000 - $60,000 salary range, with exact salary depending on experience and new staff rarely starting at the top of the range.

  • Flexibility for work and life: Unlike a lot of places, we actually believe that people should only work 40 hours each week, except for occasional sprints that require more time in a week. We also trust everyone to make a schedule that works for them, as long as you’re able to join all necessary meetings. Want to work more one day and less the next? Fine by us. Work better in the middle of the night than during the afternoon? Go for it. Need to shift your hours to be able to pick up your kid from school? All good.

  • Health care at the beginning of your employment with individual premiums fully covered and cost-share for dependents. Vision and dental plans are available at-cost to the individual.

  • 15 paid vacation days, 6 paid holidays, 3 paid floating holidays each year and 7.5 paid sick days each year

  • Professional development funds, with renewal of funds each fiscal year

  • Cell phone and internet reimbursement (or co-working reimbursement): We acknowledge that working from home requires using your own internet and phone for work purposes so we offer a set reimbursement amount for cell phone and internet usage. If working from home isn’t for you, we also have the option for folks to rent a co-working space and get reimbursed for their monthly costs.

  • Need-based educational loan assistance after 3 months

  • 401K contributions and matching program available at the beginning of your employment

  • Annual office closure during the last week in December
