YEISON MUÑOZ

I’m a Computer Engineering student in the 9th semester, focused on robust backend development and applied artificial intelligence research. I combine empirical, research-driven experimentation with the discipline needed to deliver production-ready software under formal contracts.

As a Research Trainee in the BetaBit Research Group, I co-authored an IEEE Xplore-indexed paper (2025) on fragmentation strategies in web agents using RAG and local LLMs. I also contribute to the design and implementation of architectures integrating Scrapy, LangChain, and local LLM models for autonomous web navigation.

Alongside research, I work as an independent Freelance Developer / Software Consultant, managing the full lifecycle from requirements gathering and architecture through deployment and documentation. I designed and commercialized a notarial document management web system (10 modules) for notary offices in Colombia, and I’ve delivered multiple private client projects using Python, TypeScript, LLMs, and DeepFaceLive.

My project work reflects my direction: building backend-first AI-enabled products (FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, async tooling), implementing secure systems (JWT/TOTP/2FA), and creating responsive user experiences with React and mobile clients. I’m seeking opportunities in backend development, applied AI projects, or research, with a path toward graduate studies.
