What I'm looking for

I'm looking to help multidisciplinary teams identify, build, and deploy data science and AI solutions that create real business value, from classical machine learning to LLM agents and retrieval-augmented systems.

I've helped research and product teams turn complex data into working tools, from multi-omics platforms at Genentech and Institut Pasteur to microscopy pipelines for tumor-growth characterization.

At Genentech, I led a Python-based fluorescent microscopy image-processing pipeline using computer vision models, and built an LLM-based documentation chatbot to support software onboarding. I also served as product owner, translating scientist needs into development priorities.

At Institut Pasteur and C2I, I support end-to-end multi-omics pipelines, statistical analysis, clinical data curation, and AI capability development for immune-variability research. My work spans R/Shiny platforms, LabKey-integrated data infrastructure, coding agents, local models, RAG systems, and specialized MCP servers.

I've worked independently for the last 10 years and bring more than 20 years of experience across data science, software engineering, image processing, machine learning, and teaching. I enjoy moving projects from opportunity through production while helping multidisciplinary teams create real business value.

Lead Data Scientist

Center of Immunology & Infection (C2I)

Jul 2020 - Present (6 years 2 months)

Engaged as a senior data science consultant on the HHGP-HK project, supporting end-to-end multi-omics data pipelines and statistical analyses to characterize immune variability in healthy Asian individuals. Developed local AI capabilities by providing best practices for deploying coding agents based on Ollama, open weights models, and OpenCode.
