What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an entry-level role in cybersecurity or IT support where I can learn by doing—hands-on with networks, security hardening, and lab-driven testing while growing toward penetration testing or SOC specialization.

I’m an IT professional pursuing an Associate of Science in Cybersecurity and focused on turning hands-on practice into a career in security. I’ve built and maintained multi-OS virtual environments to strengthen my skills in virtualization, secure system setup, and system support.

In my home lab, I installed, configured, and secured Windows and Linux systems and practiced penetration-testing techniques in isolated networks. I also configured routers, subnets, and firewalls, using fundamentals like LAN/WAN setup, Wi‑Fi configuration, VPNs, DHCP/DNS, and vulnerability assessment to improve both reliability and security.

I bring a strong “learn-and-improve” mindset from professional experience as well—coordinating during incidents as an Armed Security Officer and supporting performance and documentation through customer-facing and operations roles. Long term, I’m eager to specialize in penetration testing, starting with opportunities in cybersecurity and IT support.
