I’m a Senior Backend Engineer with experience building enterprise and cloud-native backend systems across industries including insurance, fintech, telecom, automotive, and consumer applications. Over the course of my career, I’ve primarily worked with Java and Spring Boot, while also gaining experience with Scala, REST APIs, microservices architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based environments.
I’ve worked on production systems involving payment processing, settlement workflows, customer platforms, and backend services that required reliability, scalability, and maintainability. One area I particularly enjoy is designing and evolving backend architectures incrementally — improving systems while balancing real production constraints, business requirements, and delivery timelines. I was also involved in work contributing to a transition from monolithic systems toward more modular microservices-based architectures, which strengthened my interest in distributed systems and scalable backend design.
More recently, I worked at Journi in Vienna, where I contributed to backend development using Scala and Play Framework, including projects involving GDPR-related data management and operational backend workflows. I enjoy environments where engineers collaborate closely with product and design teams to solve problems pragmatically and build features that have a direct impact on users.
Technically, I’m most interested in backend engineering, APIs, distributed systems, developer productivity, cloud-native applications, and scalable system design. I also enjoy exploring AI-assisted engineering workflows and tools that improve development efficiency and product iteration.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, crafts, cooking, and research. I like learning about new technologies, exploring design and product ideas, and diving deeply into topics that interest me, whether technical or creative. I’m particularly interested in companies building globally distributed products and remote-first engineering cultures where ownership, transparency, and collaboration are strongly valued.
