I work in healthcare operations, running a clinical documentation and medical scribing organization that supports psychiatric nurse practitioners across 40+ nursing home and behavioral health facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region. My team of 50+ scribes and several team leads produces clinical documentation that has to hold up to billing, compliance, and audit scrutiny, so most of my work sits at the intersection of operations, healthcare compliance, and process design.
I operate with a director's view of the business while staying hands-on in execution. Rather than delegating every process problem, I build the tools myself: Google Sheets and Apps Script automations that track documentation status in real time, interactive dashboards that surface backlogs and rejection patterns, and SOPs that hold up under real-world use. Recent projects include investigating and root-causing over a thousand voided E/M claims, redesigning scribe compensation around audit-based incentives, and building a two-track hiring and onboarding system for new scribes.
I work daily across RXNT, PointClickCare, and ChartPath, and I'm comfortable translating between clinical documentation, billing/coding logic, and the reporting leadership needs to make decisions.
What I'm looking for: roles or projects in healthcare operations, clinical documentation compliance, revenue cycle/denial management, or workflow automation, where I can apply systems thinking to a team or process rather than working a single narrow task. I'm equally interested in operational leadership roles and hands-on consulting or project-based work.
Outside of core operations work, I'm interested in EHR system architecture and how documentation, coding, and billing systems can be designed to prevent errors upstream instead of catching them after the fact.
