I'm an academic researcher in the Department of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Ilorin, advancing drug discovery and repurposing through organic and medicinal chemistry, cheminformatics, and bioinformatics.
My recent research includes de novo in silico screening of natural products for antidiabetic drug discovery, chemoinformatic analysis of Eremomastax speciosa phytoconstituents, and in silico evaluation of Enantia chlorantha compounds as potential antimalarial drugs. I also investigate physicochemical properties, drug-likeness, pharmacokinetics, and toxicity profiles of bioactive compounds.
I've received the Royal Society of Chemistry Researcher Development and Travel Grant and the TWAS Research Grant for African Scientists. I'm an associate member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a member of the American Chemical Society and Chemical Society of Nigeria, and a peer reviewer experienced in manuscript evaluation.
I mentor undergraduate students in cheminformatics and drug discovery, using tools including molecular docking, molecular dynamics, ADMET screening, spectroscopy, and machine and deep learning.
